1) your name and contact info

3) how long you expect the interview to last

Q:How did you meet Gabe/Black Gryph0n?
A: Gabe & I were first introduced when we were invited to create an online 80s Week collaboration for Everfree Network in early 2013. We decided to do a cover of Michael Jackson's "BEAT IT". Gabe arranged the track and recorded his vocals from where he was stationed in Japan (at the time he was still serving as the lead singer for the US Navy's 7th Fleet Band). My parents and I recorded my vocals, and had the mixing and mastering done in Vancouver. Then my mom pieced together a video using clips from various performances Gabe and I had done separately. This all happened before we had ever met in person! (Thanks to the magic of the internet!) We did finally meet when we performed together at Bronycon 2013 in Baltimore. Gabe flew from where he was deployed in Australia, my parents and I flew from Vancouver, we met in Baltimore in the morning, did a quick rehearsal in the afternoon and performed together that night. A month later, Gabe was honourably discharged from the Navy, and he returned to North America. Since then, we have continued to collaborate on all kinds of different projects: concerts, tours, original songs, covers, vlogs, a comedy series called Kristoff & Schloff, and more.
Q:Can you give me advice on becoming a voice actor? (or actor or singer or anything else in the entertainment industry)
A: I get asked this question all the time and it's really hard to answer without knowing a lot of details like where you live, how old you are, how much experience or training you have, etc. What I really recommend is booking a Skype or phone consultation with someone like my mom. Not only is she a manager (for me, Black Gryph0n, Natalie Sharp and more), she is a producer, singer, actor, teacher and performance coach who knows all the inside scoop on that stuff. To contact her, send an email to Monique Creber at [email protected]
Q:Can you come to my fan convention?
A: I love appearing at conventions and have participated in many of them in the US, Canada and Europe! The first step is an official invitation from the convention organizers. I usually appear as a duo with Black Gryph0n (Gabriel Brown) so it's even better if the invitation is for both of us. :) Either way, please send the request and details to my management: [email protected]
If you're not part of the organizing committee but you want me and/or Gabe to come to an event in your area, you might still be able to help make it happen! For starters, it never hurts to politely let the organizers know that you'd like us to be part of it. :)
Q:Will you do a concert in my town?
A: I would love to! Concert bookings go through my manager, who also happens to be my mom, Monique Creber ([email protected]). There are a lot of details that have to be worked out to make a concert happen, especially if it's somewhere other than the Vancouver area: travel expenses, venue bookings, promotion and so on, but if you are a presenter or you know one who might be interested, please get in touch. Here are some of the more popular choices:
THE ADVENTURE TOUR : Michelle Creber & Gabriel Brown
A high-energy show complete with originals, classic covers, comedy, dance and backflips! (Featuring songs from Getting Stronger, On Display, IMmortal, Timeless: Songs of a Century and more)
AT HOME with Michelle Creber, Gabriel Brown, Monique & Michael Creber
An unplugged performance of originals and covers in an intimate house-party setting with great singing, beautiful harmonies, outstanding piano playing, plenty of audience interaction and guaranteed laughs! Note: this show can be presented with the addition of Andrea Libman.
Q:Will you do a guest performance at my concert or event? Will you sing/do a voice/act/etc. for this project I'm involved with?
A: Depends what it is! Generally speaking, my time is really limited, but if you are putting together a professional project, please send full details to my mom ([email protected]) and if it looks doable, she will run it past my agents. (Please note that I'm not contractually allowed to participate in fan projects that are based on shows or films that I've worked on.)
Q:Do you ever perform or appear at events for free? What if it's a benefit for a really REALLY good cause?
A: Yes, sometimes. It's definitely important to me to give back and to help others whenever possible. However, I'm a member of Canadian Actors' Equity and UBCP, so there are rules about how/when I can work without compensation. But if you have an idea or a request, please send it to my manager (my mom, Monique) and we will consider it! You can find out how to reach her on the CONTACT page.
Q:What's "Because I Am A Girl" about? Why do you support it?
A: "Because I Am A Girl" is a global initiative of Plan International Canada. I'll let their website explain: "In the developing world, millions of girls are denied their basic human rights, simply because they are girls. Of the 1.4 billion people living in extreme poverty across the world, 70% are women and girls. Girls are also three times as likely as boys to be malnourished. And, in the poorest countries of the world, as many as 65 million girls are not attending either primary or secondary school. Yet, when empowered, girls can lift themselves and everyone around them out of poverty."
This strikes a chord with me for obvious reasons - I'm a girl too! And I know that I am so lucky to live where I live, and have all the resources, support and opportunities that I have. I think it's important to try to help people and to make the world a better place, even if it's only in a small way. So my parents and I decided to donate part of the proceeds from our album A Creber Christmas to "Because I Am A Girl". We also raise money through our annual Magic of Christmas concerts that goes to "Because I Am A Girl" and to local charities closer to home that help families in need at Christmas.
Q:I want to send you something! What's your mailing address?

Q:How can I get an autographed photo/CD?
A: Autographed headshots, CDs and other merch items can be ordered through https://creberbrown.com/products/autograph-add-on
